The Audrain Automobile Museum partners with Newport’s Daffodil Days to host the 9th Annual Audrain Automobile Museum’s “Driving Miss Daffodil.” This is your opportunity to cruise past thousands of the over 1,300,000 daffodils planted throughout Newport. Participants are encouraged to decorate their vehicles (and themselves!) in their best daffodil themed regalia with awards going to the best “daffily-dressed” vehicles and drivers. Fifty decorated vehicles will gather at 7am for an 8am start at 1st Beach (a.k.a., Easton’s Beach) in Newport. The parade will follow our Miss Daffodils, cruising past Easton’s Beach, up Memorial Blvd, through downtown Newport, south around Ocean Avenue, up the drive to Castle Hill where 40,000 daffodils and the Castle Hill staff will greet arrivals. The cars will then drive to 2nd Beach (a.k.a., Sachuest Beach) in Middletown for Audrain’s festive “Cars & Coffee.” Prime viewing of the cavalcade of cars will be in front of the Audrain on Bellevue Avenue around 8:15am, Sunday morning. *This year, we’re pleased to announce our two Miss Daffodils to lead our rally – The current Miss RI, Abby Mansolillo and current Miss Teen, Gillian Johnston. Cost: $50.00 per vehicle. Limited to the first 50 sign-ups.
