Newport in Bloom is a 501(c)(3) organization that was founded in 1982 by the late Jean West and Ineko Stephan to beautify our city with gardens and flowers. 2022 was our 40th year encouraging businesses and residents to get outside, meet their neighbors and beautify their homes through the planting and display of flowers.

Newport in Bloom has been honored with the 2016 Laurel Award by the Newport County Preservation Society recognizing our decades-long mission of working with the community to beautify Newport. 

In 2020, Newport in Bloom and chair Kiki McMahan were the recipients of the NDN Community Service Award for Environmental Excellence.
